the items with high margins is a product that makes your company profitable,
but many salespeople lack the confidence to sell an expensive product. To win
this sale, you need to approach them in a different way.
Stay
open-minded towards your prospects
Never
assume that your prospects will not spend their money for shopping. Even the
most miserly though sometimes they would spend money to please themselves. And
just because you serve the customers of the type that like it, does not mean
you will continue to have it in the future.
People
will pay so that their problems can be solved
Even
those people who rarely spend money they would be happy to spend some of their
money to solve their biggest problem. Your job is to figure out what they need
and explain how your product can help them. People tend to spend their money on
areas that they feel is valuable, so do not focus too much on features
outstanding features that exist on your product. Rather, talk about the
benefits that will be provided with your product or service you offer.

example, if you sell cars, find out why your prospects are in your showroom to
find a new car. Typically, there is a certain community events in their lives
that trigger their desire to buy a new car. Maybe they just had a child, or

limitations. Or, they have hobbies such as jet skis and they need something
that can take a "toy" them into the sea every week.

you already know the reason why they need a new vehicle, you can give advice
which the models are able to resolve their problems.
Use
positioning to encourage customers in the right direction
Say
you're walking into a sporting goods store and two fitness machines to exercise
in the house.
Which
one costing $32 million with the features of heart rate monitors, LCD TV with
a variety of games in it and several other features. And the second is a
fitness machine that is lighter, heart rate monitor, and several other features
with a total worth of 18 million.
Chances
are customers going to buy fitness equipment both. Often, the choice of an
expensive product is not a product you want to sell by salesperson. But by
providing a selection of products that are very expensive, then the customer
would think that the cheaper product becomes more reasonable and beneficial for
them.
You
can also apply it in your business by creating a very premium offer and sell
them at a premium price. This will create a psychological state to push the
product you want to sell.
Do
not forget to offer additional item
Even
when you are selling goods at prices that are not too high, you can still
increase the value of total sales by offering some additional features. Offer a
product items that are relevant to the products they buy to add value for their
benefit.
For
example, if you sell an expensive grill, then guidebooks grilling, spatula,
meat fork, and various other items can be useful for them when they use the
products they buy.
Selling
is not a transaction that ends when you or your prospects have mutual trade.
But selling is a cooperative thing where you help them to find a solution that
can solve their problems and make them happy. As you already know how to
approach this point of view, then you will be able to increase your chances to
close the sale and get a bigger profit again.
